- I must have been born with crayon in my hand. It also helped that my GrandMother was an Italian dress designer, and my great Grandmother was Chistina Ricci. 100 percent Italian, and raised with an appreciation for All things beautiful: fine art, music and dance. My brother danced with the Joeffry Ballet Company, and 'Mumso' was always drawing. From age 6, I was schooled by practicing artists - from drawing, print making, and painting. In 75, I earned my BFA and tried to make it as an artist - too few calories there! So decided to teach HighSchool and College Art, and eventially got into the ad biz. To keep this story short - opened my own ad agency at age 28, sold it in 1995, began sustainable lighting design career in 2005, creating and designing unique lighting sculptures and pieces as well as large scale life drawings and paintings. (10 feet x 4 feet) Tah! Dah! I absolutely LOVE what I do... the human figure never ceases to impress.
